Val is a proven buck that passes on correctness in the forelegs, rear legs, and levels top lines. He adds breed character, dairy character, improves udders, width, and lots of milk. Val is dairy enough but has a nice powerful frame that he packs on to his kids too. We are very pleased with his offspring. Out of all the goats we have bred to him there is a consistency that can be seen with every kid crop. Although Val was not that old he had some health problems for the past few years and we knew it was only a matter of time before we lost him. We are thankful that we were able to breed live at least one more year. He will be missed greatly.

We do plan on continuing to use his genetics through A.I. in the years to come.

Val has been shown ONLY five times by Misty Acres the summer of 2003, under four different judges, and in three different states (MI, IN, WI). Val had his permanent CH won by his third show and in just two weeks.

He won the following from those shows:

  1. He won his class X 5
  2. GCH X 5 - finished his Permanent GCH by the 3rd time.
  3. Best of Breed (BOB) X 5
  4. Best Buck In Show X 4
  5. Best In Show X 1

The four different judges were:

  1. Julie Weisehan
  2. Harvey Considine X 2
  3. Timothy Flickinger
  4. Loren Larson

Prince Valient qualified for and is in the ADGA Sire Development Program - Jan. 22, 2002

Val's ETA Values are:1:2752:138

This means that Val has a high potential to contribute to the genetic improvement of his breed. As Val's daughters begin producing on DHIR and data is provided to the ADGA by the USDA, his values should go up. We shall be excited to see what this very special boy does over the years.

Val's full sister to GCH Goldthwaite Talapoosa. She too will be missed and we are so thankful to be able to get one of her last daughters to add to our herd.
